Shot over four-years, The Culprits follows three Los Angeles DJs known as DROOG, and the party people around them, as they navigate the underground dance music world from intimate afterparties to the global stage at music festivals around the world. Culprit (the record label / brand run by DROOG) hosts an internationally-recognized summer party series at The Standard hotel in Downtown LA where the energy is distinctly laid back and chic. No lasers and smoke machines, no go-go dancers, no fist pumping by muscled up, shirtless and sweaty types (with way too much product in their hair), and there is not a trace of table service politics. Instead, the dance floor is a democratic, come one, come all frenzy of the posh and the penniless, the chin-stroking music nerds and the modern-day hippies who are all looking for a good time.
